Job Title: Assistant Superintendent – Tenant Improvement
Position Overview:
The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in the day-to-day field operations of tenant improvement construction projects, primarily within retail environments such as gas stations, convenience stores, and restaurants. This role helps ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards. The position requires hands-on field involvement and occasional travel to support multi-site projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent with daily on-site supervision of TI construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries to maintain project schedules
- Monitor jobsite safety and help enforce company and OSHA safety standards
- Support quality control by ensuring work is performed per plans, specifications, and local codes
- Participate in daily huddles, site walks, and progress meetings
- Track daily activities, manpower, and work completed
- Assist with punch lists, inspections, and closeout documentation
- Help maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure compliance
- Travel to support active project sites as needed (approximately 20%)
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of construction field experience, preferably in retail or tenant improvement projects
- Experience working on gas stations, convenience stores, restaurants, or similar fast-paced environments preferred
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
- Valid driver’s license required

- Fast-paced, field-based role
- May require extended hours, weekends, or nights depending on project schedules and tenant requirements
- Exposure to active construction sites and varying weather conditions
