The Interiors Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering interior construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and quality control to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while meeting design intent and client expectations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage all phases of interior construction projects, including preconstruction, procurement, construction, and closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Coordinate with designers, architects, engineers, owners, and internal teams
  • Procure, manage, and supervise subcontractors and vendors (drywall, framing, finishes, millwork, flooring, ceilings, etc.)
  • Review drawings and specifications for constructability, scope clarity, and coordination
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status reports to stakeholders
  • Oversee change orders, RFIs, and submittals
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, safety requirements, and company standards
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and safety
  • Resolve field issues and conflicts efficiently
  • Manage punch lists, inspections, and project closeout documentation
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project partners


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience managing interior construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, materials, and sequencing
  • Experience with commercial interior build-outs (office, retail, healthcare, hospitality, or similar)
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • OSHA certification preferred
