A well-established and growing community bank in Brady, TX is seeking a Commercial & Agricultural Loan Officer to join its team. This position plays a key role in supporting the bank’s continued growth while maintaining its strong commitment to relationship-based banking and community involvement. The successful candidate will live locally in Brady and serve as a visible, trusted representative of the bank within the community.

Position Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a diversified portfolio of commercial and agricultural loans
• Develop new business through referrals, prospecting, and active community engagement
• Serve as a face of the bank in the local market by building strong relationships with business owners, farmers, and community leaders
• Work closely with customers to understand financial needs and structure appropriate lending solutions
• Conduct or oversee credit analysis, including financial statement review, cash flow analysis, and loan structuring
• Prepare loan requests, renewals, and presentations in accordance with bank policies and credit standards
• Monitor portfolio performance, manage renewals, and maintain strong asset quality
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a high level of customer service



Qualifications

• Prior experience in commercial and/or agricultural lending within a community bank environment
• Strong knowledge of commercial and agricultural credit and lending practices
• Experience living and working in a smaller-town or rural community, with the ability to build long-term relationships and trust
• Demonstrated business development and relationship management skills
• Credit analysis experience or formal credit training is strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to relocate to and reside in Brady, TX (relocation candidates will be considered)
