One of the nation's top Fire Protection Engineering firms in the Greater Boston area is currently hiring for an experienced Fire Protection Designer to join their award-winning team.

Responsibilities

• Detailed knowledge of building/fire code standards and their application to modern construction
• Knowledge of Computer Fire and Egress Modeling
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit Software packages
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate and negotiate with building officials
• Capability to successfully manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and develop creative solutions to complex problems

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in code consulting / fire protection engineering
• EIT or ability to obtain EIT within 1 year of hire
• BS Degree in Engineering or related field required 
• MS Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field preferred
